Its Mental Heath Awareness week and the theme this year is Nature, which is so central to our psychological and emotional health. By having a greater connection to the natural world your life will benefit in so many ways.
In August’s 2020 issue of Bird Watching magazine there is a sixteen page pull on why birding can change your life. I’m pleased to have contributed to this and hope it helps to inspire people to get out, into nature for their physical health but just as important their mental health.
Nature has an incredible ability to heal us in many ways, most we will never truly see or understand until we take a moment to reflect on this.
In February’s issue of Bird Watching magazine there is a fun interview I did, where I was asked a series of questions and my thoughts on different topics all relating to birds and bird watching. Contact with nature in any form is good for your mental and physical health and also you’re sole. My best advice I can give to anyone wishing to witness this is just to get outside and let nature do its magic. The magazine is out now and available either online or in all good retailers.
