With the warming temperatures, lighter evenings and the morning dawns becoming earlier, Spring is upon us. It’s my favourite time of year as the countryside is bursting with life.
Britains mammals are in trouble, if we are not careful even the common species will be lost before our eyes. Thats why Peoples Trust Endangered Species need your help to monitor mammals and record sightings to protect their future.
Being at one with nature is truly amazing and with respect, time and effort everyone is capable of witnessing beautiful moments each time they enter the natural world.
Due to recent wintry weather conditions it’s been a challenging time in the Peak District National Park running my Mountain Hare workshops while doing my own photography. My clients and I were able to spend some wonderful moments with the Mountain Hares that live in this region of England.
Short-eared Owls are commonly seen hunting during the day here in the UK. During the Winter months their numbers can increase greatly with an influx of birds from the continental.

The Winter Solstice occurs in December and in the Northern Hemisphere the date marks the 24-hour period with the fewest daylight hours of the year, which is why it is known as the shortest day and longest night.
Each time you enter nature you always learn something new, whether it be about the subjects behaviour or fieldcraft technic. You must always put the subjects welfare before any images you take. Remembering you are a guest in their world.
Connecting people with nature, that is what I do. I dont care what awards you have won or how many followers or likes you have. How you treat nature tells me all I need to know about you.
