I’m pleased to announce after alot of planning my new photo tour to the kingdom of Bhutan is now live on my website. This 9 day tour will cover some of the best places in this amazing country for wildlife, culture and local history. Helping me on the ground is the sister company to the guys that are helping me with my Snow Leopard expedition in 2017 which is now full and in 2018. They are one of the market leaders for this region.
Nestling in the heart of the Himalayas and protected by a complex geography of high mountains and deep valleys, Bhutan is rated as one of the ‘top ten global hot spots’ of the world. The intriguing yet profound tale of the transformation of this traditional kingdom, without losing out on its traditional norms and values while embarking on a modern course of development in the last half a century has been both a story of sustainable and progressive development in harmony with its natural environment
I visited the kingdom of Bhutan briefly in the summer on my visit to Assam, North India. Sleeping in my hammock overlooking the mountain ranges of Bhutan. I will never forget that thunderstorm and lighting that night that lit the sky up for many hours. I had everything crossed during that long night hoping I wasn’t struck.
The noises of the jungle there were just amazing with birdlife everywhere and lots of other wildlife including Elephants, Tigers and much more. The influence of Bhutan was everything during my time in Assam. From local markets to the national parks that straddled the border of India and Bhutan.
I will be working with the best, local indigenous people as my guides throughout the trip there which will offer you the very best chances of photographing the wildlife and people of this truly magical country. The trip offers an action packed 9 days, and already I’ve had one confirmed booking with lots of interest on social media.
