Spring lifts the spirits and brings places to life. It’s the best time of year, full of life, action and wildlife behaviour. The British countryside is beautiful at the best of times but in spring it’s just incredible.


A few years ago I had the privilege of spending two weeks in the province of Assam in North-eastern India documenting the 100th Pygmy Hog release for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust based in Jersey. The work being done to save this critically endangered species is just amazing.


The Peak District Mountain Hare is one of the most iconic mammals we have in the Uplands of England. Surrounded in many places by driven grouse moors, they are in need of protection. This special mammal has been present in Britain for a long time and were native to the Peak District but sadly died out around 6,000 years ago.


All of my one day workshops, photo tours abroad and here in the UK have all been updated.

When I’m photographing wildlife I’m trying to document wild behaviour, something that occurred naturally. I’m not trying to create something that was fake and contrived.


Wildlife Photography isn’t a competition, it’s something very personal to the individual.


My beautifully illustrated talks showing the amazing wildlife I’ve photographed during my career are now all available via zoom.


As the New Year begins its a good time to reflect on a year that has impacted everyone around the globe in many different ways. Never in our lifetime as something had such a devastating effect on our day to day lives as Coronavirus.
