The heaths and moors of the Peak District are an eerie exposure of peat covered moorland sitting about 600m above sea level. Large wind carved eroded rocks sit among vast plateaus and rock formations supporting a healthy population of wild Red Deer.
Sit in the same position for an hour and you’ll see just how quickly light changes. The direction of light will dramatically affect the way shadows fall in a scene within nature or on a subject.
My images represent an event that occurred in the wild something that I witnessed and recorded with my camera.
Connecting people with nature that is what I do. It means nothing to me what awards you have won, how many followers or likes you have. How you treat nature tells me all I need to know about you.
Working on your own projects is a great way of learning more about your chosen subject, while becoming a better wildlife photographer I firmly believe.
Using my camera I try and show not only the beauty of the natural world but also the suffering within that world. My hope is to give all those species a true and meaningful voice around the world with my photographs.
Today is International Dawn Chorus day, celebrating natures greatest symphony. All across the world people rise early to revel in the sweet sound of birdsong.
