Working with wildlife you often get little time to compose your subject as you wish. You have to work with what nature gives you and this makes you a better photographer I firmly believe.

Today is the Autumn Equinox, where the duration of the day and night are of equal length all over the world.

Connecting people with nature that is what I do. It means nothing to me what awards you have won, how many followers or likes you have. How you treat nature tells me all I need to know about you.

Simplicity is key when it comes to composing a successful photograph. A well composed image should never look cluttered, and the main focal point or subject should be obvious.

There is something so special seeing a wild Barn Owl quartering, hovering with moth like silence while hunting. Flying effortlessly on the wing in the half-light at dawn or dusk.

Short-eared Owls are commonly seen hunting during the day here in the UK. During the Winter months their numbers can increase greatly with an influx of birds from the continental.
