I’m pleased to announce after alot of planning my new photo tour to the kingdom of Bhutan is now live on my website. This 9 day tour will cover some of the best places in this amazing country for wildlife, culture and local history. Helping me on the ground is the sister company to the guys that are helping me with my Snow Leopard expedition in 2017 which is now full and in 2018. They are one of the market leaders for this region.
Finland is a country of vast green forests, beautiful Baltic Sea islands, windswept arctic fells and thousands of blue lakes. These untouched and beautiful landscapes provide habitat for thousands of wild animals and birds.
Last month I spent two weeks in the province of Assam in North-eastern India to cover the 100th Pygmy Hog release for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust that are based in Jersey. The work being done to save this critically endangered species was just amazing to witness and be part of. The following images show you some of the amazing things I witnessed during this incredible trip.
Im writing to you from the Shetland Islands, a breathtaking place full of beauty,wildlife and an amazing coastline. Im here spending several days doing my own work before my clients turn up on my “Stunning Shetland” trip for the week. When I can I want to post some images and the experiences I and my clients have during our time on these islands.
After an overnight ferry from Aberdeen to lerwick the capital of the Shetland Islands I arrived and met up with my good friend Iain who lives and has lived on the island with his wife, Anne now for many years.I quickly got settled, had a nice cuppa before planning the days ahead.
During national Badger week up and down the country there are lots of events being staged that you can attend. I’m pleased to announce that I’m doing a talk as part of one event in Stafford where all money goes to the trust that try and fight for our native Badgers that live below us and come into our world when weve gone to bed.
It was thought that the worlds smallest and rarest wild pig by the 1960’s was lost forever. But with over 30 years of dedication from the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, the pygmy hog now has a brighter future. They are still critically endangered and on the IUCN red list but the future looks brighter for them with the work going on to save them.
Those hoping to see images of people dancing in a provocative way from my title then Im sorry to disappoint you in that sense. But I have something much more beautiful; the dance of the Black Grouse during their Lek from their breeding grounds in Finland that is both beautiful but at times can be violent.
